The Scottish Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rescue is an entirely voluntary organisation. We are totally dependent on donations and fundraising efforts.

The Rescue, which is a registered charity (Charity No: 1058627), exists to:

  • Find homes for dogs who have fallen on hard times
  • Raise funds for veterinary fees, kennelling, feeding, advertising with view to re-homeing
  • Educate the public about the Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

We are always in need of kind, loving permanent homes and foster homes. Our dogs come in all age groups, the most common being two to four years of age.

Occasionally we do get dogs which have been abused but mostly our dogs come to us through the owners change of circumstance. Abused or otherwise the temperament of our dogs is wonderful.

The Stafford is the victim of misunderstanding, they look tough, they are pictured in the press as aggressive. Nothing could be further from the truth. They are a gentle loving breed especially with children. Any member of rescue will discuss with you the pros and cons of the breed. After all, we want you to have a happy life with a happy dog

Due to the vast number of staffies looking for homes it is now taking us at least six weeks to rehome the dogs brought into rescue. If you want us to help you to rehome your dog please be patiant with us, we will try our best.
