As well as permanent homes we are always looking for long and short-term foster homes. It doesn’t matter whether you have pets already, some dogs will live with others. All that you need is time patience and a little knowledge.
We also need people in all areas of Scotland to do home interviews and follow-up visits. These people need to have some proven experience in animal care and welfare. This could have been in the form of paid or voluntary work or perhaps you could have kept a lot of pets in your time.
Alternatively, you may feel you have another skill or service that you could offer the Rescue. Whatever it is we would love to hear from you. Whichever applies to you please contact one of the committee members to discuss becoming involved?
If you are unable to give of your time, we always appreciate donations, so if you would like to make a donation to the work of the Rescue, please use the DONATE link or send a cheque to the Treasurer (cheques payable to SSBTR), any small amount helps considerably.
Acting Treasurer of SSBTR
NB As the Rescue has charitable status (Charity No: 1058627) donations made under deed of covenant or under Gift Aid (further information obtainable from the Treasurer) would enable the recovery of income tax.
The Scottish Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rescue is an entirely voluntary organisation. We are totally dependant on donations and fundraising efforts. To this end we are always very grateful for any donation you can afford, however small it may seem to you. We also organise fundraisers every year - see our Events page. These events are always lots of fun and we guarantee that at the dog show there is a class for EVERY dog whether pooch, Pedigree or three-legged mutt.
