E-mail Print PDF
chiccoChicco is a lovely 3 yr old Staffie boy.  He is not neutered yet but SSBTR can help with this.  Gets along with bitches but not dogs. Good with kids and cats. A bit excitable when he first meets people but settles well after a few minutes. Vaccs all up to date and due again next month. Good in the car. Not destructive but barks when hes on his own. Knows his basic commands. Chicco is described as not being a very big boy, but very strong!  The family feel that due to working full time and their family circumstances, their only option is to rehome Chicco.  If you feel you can offer this wee cracker a new home then please call Sharon on 07870538944.

Oak, 5 yr old male - West Lothian

E-mail Print PDF
oakThis gorgeous boy answers to the name of Oak.  He is a 5 yr old male Staffie and very fit and muscular.  Oak has come to the attention of Staffie Rescue through a major change in his family circumstances, and they feel they have no option other than to put Oak up for adoption.  He is vaccinated, microchipped and wormed but is not neutered.  SSBTR will help with this through a neutering scheme.  He is good off lead, not bad on the lead. Not good with other dogs, and would need to be the only dog in the home. He is fantastic with children. Can be left for 4-5 hours on his own and is used to this.  Oak likes to destroy his toys and thinks it is great fun!  Oak is described as being a dog that would suit a really active family as he likes a lot of exercise.  For more info please call Sharon on 07870538944.

Buster, 5 yr old male - Bonnyrigg

busterThis bonny little guy is Buster and he is a 5 yr old neutered Staffie.  Buster is up for adoption through no fault of his own, things have just come to the point that his owner has no choice but to rehome him as her own circumstances have changed.  The family are very upset at having to let this boy go.  He is up to date with vaccinations, wormer and is also microchipped.  He is good with children, and is good both on and off lead.  He is fine with other dogs whilst outside, but not in a home environment and for this reason Buster would need to be the only dog in the home.  For more info please call Sharon on 07870-538944.

Tyson 2yr old male - Perth

E-mail Print PDF
tysonperthThis lovely wee fella is Tyson, a 2 year old un-neutered male. Tyson is an excitable little boy but is very friendly.  He is good around children but due to him being so exuberant, it is felt that he would be better placed with older children. Tyson is not good with other dogs or cats.  He is not destructive in the home, but if left will toilet and his owner is not sure if this is seperation anxiety, or due to the fact that she is his 3rd owner in 2 years.  He will need a lot of patience in his new home and a huge amount of understanding.  This guy deserves to find the right home as he has been through enough in his wee short years.  Although his present owner really loves him, she does not feel it is fair on Tyson to live in a flat where he has no direct access to a garden.  Tyson is microchipped and she thinks his vaccinations are up to date. Tyson loves his toast in butter in the morning.  He is cage trained, and his cage will go with him too.  If you feel you can offer Tyson the forever home he deserves, then please call Sharon on 07870538944.

Leo, 3 yr old male - Edinburgh

E-mail Print PDF

leoleoLittle cutie Leo will be 3 in September. He is a lovely chunky wee boy. He has the most lovable nature and gives the most enthusiastic Staffy greetings! Leo is good with children of any age. He is fine to be left for a few hours so would suit someone who works part-time. Being young and excitable, Leo would suit an active lifestyle and plenty of exercise. He hasn't lived with other dogs but meets them well when out and about, so with introductions could possibly live with a female. Leo is a typical young staffy, full of life and not fazed by anything. He loves his chews and likes water. He is not yet neutered but this will be undertaken by the rescue.  For more info on Leo, please call Sharon Hamilton from our "Contacts" page.

Please help..URGENT

I have a couple of people i know who came up for the SKC show on Thursday from England to show their dogs, they took them for a walk in Roslin Glen country park on Thursday afternoon  the dogs subsequently had a fight and 2 of them ended up rolling over the edge of a crag and down the rock face,at this part of the walk there was no warning signs or fences preventing anything or anyone falling over this edge even though there is a huge drop.

One dog was found safe and well on a ledge and has  since been treated by a vet for injuries to its lungs but the other bitch was no where to be found after hours of frantic looking.

The SSPCA ,dog warden and police all know about this but i just wanted to put it here in case anyone hears of anything they can contact me direct by email on spotdog.1@ntlworld.com   or mobile 0774 094 8245.

Any information will be gratefully recieved i just hope to God someone has found her and taken her in to care for her as the alternitive outcome isnt so good, she has been missing for over a week now so please keep your eyes and ears open for any news of this girl, her owners have went to the spot over and over walked the whole area on both banks of the river with no luck.

Christine
