Hi Jenn - disappointed to say that the meeting was cancelled due to lack of interest. It was just yourself, Nikki and I able to make it. Thanks so much for making yourself available though. We'll be in touch soon... xxx

Can I just say it wasn't due to lack of interest on my part - it was due to being in hospital!

I've put together a basic plan for the awareness day and got in contact with a few people - so far I've had a great response and everyone I've contacted has offered either to get involved on the day or donations of prizes etc. But I'll need to get moving with setting a date and things so that people are still available.

I'm free any night this week - except Wed at vet with Kai as usual (!!) if you guys want to meet up to go over stuff.

Absolutely Linda. Thanks for the interest. We appreciate not everyone can make it all of the time for whatever reason and it's good of you (in your delicate condition!) to be making the effort when you can. xxx

One idea I had was after watching the latest series of the Hairy Bikers "mother knows best" and salavating at all the food was doing something similar to their food fare. maybe folk can bring food along to taste and recipes and you could charge a small fee for food tasting or people pay for each recipe they take away or something along those lines? I think we are going to try something like this at my work and see how it goes. We have a few more ideas as well

As this thread is about fundraising I thought i may as well float this idea in here rather than posting a new thread! I'm not sure if it is still the case but when I was a regular seller on EBay you could make a donation in the form of a percentage of the money you received for your sold item to a charity that you selected from a list when submitting your add. If it is still an option on ebay would be an idea to see if we could get SSBTR listed as one of the charities??

Not sure how you would go about it but it's an idea.

Great idea

I put a post on here a while ago about the website easy fundraising but it didn't really go anywhere - you get donations through hundreds of websites and shops just by going through their links. I'm pretty sure you can do ebay through that one aswell so that you're only having to sign up for one website, have a look.

Seems like a good way to raise extra cash by doing very little.
