Lennox

We received a call from a distraught woman to say that her neighbour had a young staffie that looked very underweight and he appeared to have a problem with one of his back legs. If she could get him to hand the dog over to her would we be able to rehome him. Yes we would she was told. She called a couple of days later to say that she had the dog. We arranged for him to be picked up and taken to the vet to be checked out.

The appointment was for the next day. He stayed at Kay's for the night but was very sick the next day and when he to do the toilet it was all blood that he passed. He was rushed to the vet who put him on a drip. The wee soul survived the day and night and then we got x-rays done. That was when we found out what the problem was with his legs. He had a broken hip. He was able to walk so the vet reckoned it had been like that for a number of months. The sickness and blood that he had was probably because he was given some food and it was just too much for his wee body. He weighed 16kg and the average weight for a Stafford is about 19 - 21kg. You could see from his size he is meant to be quite a big dog but he was anything but big.

He's been rehomed to a lovely family on an Island up in North of Scotland. After he had surgery to repair his leg he hasn't looked back he has gone from strength to strength. He is eating a balanced diet now is a very happy wee dog. He shares a home with a few Human friends but he also has a four legged pal called Horlix, Jack Russell.
